The Houston Astros’ Triple-A club, the Skeeters, joined the Triple-A West in 2021. The squad changed its name to the Sugar Land Space Cowboys following the 2021 season. A cricket club for kids, the Sugar Land Youth Cricket Club, was founded in 2014. It held home games at Stafford’s Everest Academy in 2016.
