College Station, Texas

College Station is located in the eastern part of Texas, United States. It has a total area of 51.35 square miles and is situated in Brazos County. The city lies approximately equidistant between Houston and Austin, two major cities in Texas, with Houston being about 85 miles to the southeast and Austin about 100 miles to the southwest.

The region where College Station is located has rolling hills, thick forests, and flat plains that stretch out for miles. The climate here is typically warm and humid, with hot summers and mild winters. Its location near the Gulf of Mexico also means that it can be hit by hurricanes or tropical storms during hurricane season and it plays a significant role in College Station’s Demography .  It is also home to Texas A&M University, one of the largest universities in America.

The area has a subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters with low temperatures that typically last fewer than two months. Ice and snow are uncommon; College Station most recently experienced 4.5 inches of snow on January 10, 2021. The only notable variation in the weather during the summer is the sporadic showers.
