Bryan, Texas is a city located in Brazos County, Texas. It is situated in the eastern part of Central Texas and covers an area of approximately 44 square miles. The Demographic makeup of Bryan reflects its diverse culture and heritage and it lies within the Brazos Valley region and is surrounded by several counties including Burleson to the northeast, Grimes to the northwest, Madison to the west, Robertson to the south and Washington to the southeast.

The city of Bryan has an elevation of 361 feet above sea level and is located along US Highway 190. It also lies at a distance of approximately 100 miles from Houston, Austin and Waco making it easily accessible for both visitors and residents alike. Additionally, Bryan is home to several natural features including waterways such as Lake Bryan which lies on its southwestern edge while Kurten Creek cuts across its eastern boundary.

Brazos County’s geographic center is located northwest of Bryan. Both the unincorporated community of Lake Bryan and the city of College Station border it on the southeast and northwest, respectively. In the southwest, the Brazos River passes by for about nine miles. The city has a total area of 44.5 square miles (115.3 km2), of which 44.4 square miles (115.0 km2) is land and 0.077 square miles (0.2 km2), or 0.20%, is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
